Works intuitively, with colors and movements to achieve harmony when he composes his abstract works to music. The media are oil, acrylic and mixed media, mostly on canvas. Proximity to nature in the south of Sweden and the music contributes to the feeling, the mood and movements, which in turn leads to unique paintings. "When I found the right feeling, it's like everything is turned off and painting just float away with me. Each work is an amazing journey and the journey is both relaxing and exhausting at the same time".

My aim is to create abstract paintings with lots of feeling, color, joy, light, depth and shapes. The viewer should be able to find their own interpretations in the work.

Mats have gained international attention, in New York, Berlin, Amsterdam, Italy, Norway, Copenhagen and London. Represented by collectors in Sweden, Norway, Germany, Spain and France.
